Candle care & safety
Enjoy every candle safely
Simple care helps your AuraBliss candle burn more cleanly, evenly and safely from the first light to the final burn.
Before every burn
Trim the wick to approximately 6 mm and remove any wick trimmings, matches or debris from the wax.
While it is burning
Keep the candle within sight on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, children, pets and anything flammable.
After extinguishing
Make sure the flame is fully out and allow the candle and melted wax to cool completely before touching or moving them.

The first burn matters
Help container candles burn evenly
On the first burn, allow the melt pool to develop gradually towards the edges of the container. Extinguishing a candle too soon can create a narrow memory ring and lead to tunnelling on later burns.
Never exceed the maximum burn time shown on the product or safety label. As a general AuraBliss rule, do not burn a candle for more than four hours at a time. Allow it to cool fully before trimming and relighting.
Jar candles
Keep the flame calm and centred
Trim the wick before each use. If the flame becomes unusually high, flickers continuously or produces visible smoke, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool and trim the wick before relighting.
Keep the wax pool free from debris. Do not move the jar while the wax is liquid, and stop using the candle before the flame reaches the base of the container.
Statement candles
Prepare for melting wax
Always place freestanding and sculptural candles on a large, stable, heat-resistant candle plate or holder with enough space to catch melted wax.
Keep them upright and well away from fabrics, shelves, decorations and other candles. Decorative shapes can burn differently, so remain nearby and extinguish the candle if the flame becomes unstable.
Wax bouquets
Remove every wax piece before use
Use only pieces specifically intended to be burned as candles or used as wax melts. Remove the chosen piece completely and separate it from every decorative component.
Place candle pieces on a suitable heat-resistant candle holder. Use wax melt pieces only in an appropriate wax warmer and follow the warmer manufacturer's instructions.
